KILIMO → 23662
Karibu Kilimo Bora! You have joined daily farming tips at KES 5 a day, billed to your airtime. Reply STOP to leave any time.
Leo: plant your maize 5cm deep after the first steady rains. Shallow planting wastes seed in a dry spell.
KES 5 a day comes off the subscriber's airtime and the renewal runs itself.

- Daily, weekly and monthly cycles
- Keyword opt-in on your premium shortcode

Questions people ask
How do subscribers pay?
Through carrier billing: the subscription fee is deducted from the subscriber's airtime at activation and at each renewal. There is no M-Pesa prompt or card checkout, which is why premium SMS converts so well.
What do I need to launch a premium service?
Content and a price. We handle the carrier side: the premium shortcode, keyword registration, pricing approval, and the consent flow. Most services are live within a few weeks of the carrier paperwork starting.
How is consent handled?
Joining is a recorded double opt-in (keyword text plus confirmation), every subscriber has a timestamped consent trail, and STOP deactivates with the carrier immediately. The flows are built to carrier and Communications Authority requirements.
What happens when a renewal can't be billed?
The carrier retries per its policy; while a subscriber is unbilled they don't receive paid content, and persistent failures move them out of the active base. You see all of it as lifecycle events.
Can I see revenue in real time?
Yes. Every activation, renewal and payment event lands in your dashboard as the carrier reports it, with daily per-offer rollups. Month-end reconciliation against the carrier statement becomes a five-minute check.
