The most trusted communication platform for businesses
Fee reminders, loan alerts, OTPs, member polls and campaigns go out from one account. We route each number to its network, and the delivery report comes back the moment the network confirms it. A USSD menu, a shortcode or a WhatsApp template sits in the same dashboard when you need one.
10 free SMS when you sign up, sent under the ready-made MOBILESASA sender name. No card, no contract.

2,000 and more organisations send through Mobile Sasa: SACCOs, schools, hospitals, golf clubs, lenders and NGOs
Products
Start with SMS today and add a USSD menu, a shortcode or WhatsApp later. Same account, same wallet, same contact list, no new contract.
Use cases
A SACCO texts a loan disbursement. A school texts a fee balance. A clinic texts that the lab result is ready. Here is what each sector runs on Mobile Sasa.
No smartphone needed
Kenya has more than 60 million active SIM cards and far fewer smartphones. A USSD menu or an SMS survey works on all of them, with no data bundle, no app and no WhatsApp.
A customer dials a code such as *544#, your menu appears, and each reply moves them to the next screen. It is a live session over the network itself, so it works on a KSh 500 handset exactly as it does on a flagship, with no internet at all.
Your menu lives at an extension of a shared code, for example *657*YOUR_CODE#. The cheapest way to start; most SMEs, NGOs and pilots begin here.
Cheapest to startA code of your own, for example *777#. Your brand on the dial string, sessions routed straight to you, and the option regulators expect for financial services.
Priced per codeWrite the questions once. Push them by SMS to a group, run them on your own shortcode, or hang them on a USSD code. Respondents reply with a number or a few words, and each answer appears in your dashboard as it arrives.

The platform
Finance tops up the wallet, marketing writes the campaign, a manager approves it, and IT plugs the API in. Everyone works in the same account with the permissions their role needs, while the carrier side stays our problem.
Send, check delivery, top up and pull a report without leaving the portal. Counts update while a campaign is still going out.
Fee-reminder week and end-of-month statement runs are exactly when a platform fails. Ours is built to queue, throttle and keep going when thousands of messages fire at once.
Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom and Equitel from one account. You send to a number; we work out the network and the route.
Under the hood
Direct carrier binds, a durable queue, and a delivery path we own end to end. The platform was rebuilt from the ground up in 2025 on the lessons of ten years in production.
Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom and Equitel, each on its own direct connection. Every recipient is routed to their network per message, and when one carrier slows down traffic to the others keeps moving.
The carrier tells us the handset received it, and we tell you in the same second: in the portal, on the API, and on your delivery callback.
Anything you can do in the portal you can do over REST. The /v1/ and /v2/ endpoints are frozen, so an integration written years ago still works unchanged.
Bind your own SMPP client for high volumes: submit and receive delivery reports on one persistent session at the throughput your account allows.
Roles decide who sends, who reads reports and who approves a campaign before it goes out. API tokens are scoped to one integration each, every action is written to an audit log, and the platform is run under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.
Delivery by network and by sender, USSD completion rates, survey drop-off, and campaign counters that move while it sends. One report per product, any date range, exported to Excel.
Plain JSON over HTTPS with a Bearer token. Copy the example on the right, swap in your token and a number, and the message is on its way. Code samples for PHP, Python, Node.js and Go are in the docs, and the /v1/ and /v2/ endpoints never change shape, so what you build today keeps working.

Talk to salesSalamu is the same platform under your name. If you are a software house, ISP, aggregator or consultancy that wants to sell bulk SMS to your own clients, you get the portal on your domain, at your prices, with our carrier connections behind it. Set-up takes hours, not months.
Trusted by
SACCOs, schools, golf clubs, insurers, lenders and NGOs. Some send a few hundred messages a month, some send millions, and they all top up the same way.
We send fee balance reminders to 12,000 parents every term. It used to take days. Now it is under an hour and we can see who received it. 🙌

Why Mobile Sasa
Most of our customers came from another provider. These are the reasons they give for not going back.
Direct connections to each carrier, not a reseller of a reseller. When a network slows down we see it on our own dashboards first, and the other networks keep flowing.
Hashed API tokens, role-scoped permissions, a full audit log, and operations run under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019. We never sell, share or mine your contact lists.
Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom and Equitel from one account. If a number is live in Kenya, you can reach it.
Plain REST, predictable response codes, signed delivery webhooks. The v1 and v2 endpoints are frozen, so the integration you wrote in 2019 still runs today.
Mobile Sasa has been sending since 2015 and was rebuilt from scratch in 2025. Same customers, same numbers, a far faster and more transparent platform underneath.
Queued, sent, delivered or failed, with the timestamp, the parts and the cost of each one. If something did not arrive, you can see which message and why.
